“If I could save time in a bottle, the first thing that I’d like to do is to save everyday til eternity passes away just to spend them with you.” – Jim Croce’s song: Time in a Bottle
This hits home for me. If I only took my time to save memories when I was in my teens, it would’ve been wonderful to reminisce my younger years when I turned 35.
For this weekend, make a time capsule.
Find a box with a lid, and then walk around your house and collect items that represent the reality of your present life – here are examples:
- Newspaper or magazine
- Receipts from your recent purchases
- Take a picture of the Gas Station sign showing the cost of gas
- An empty can of Coca-cola
Place them in the box and secure it tightly. Write the date on the outside and say, “Open Me in 20 years (write the exact date after 20 years).
I just can’t image how our lives would have changed in 20 years. Well… why don’t you start this weekend so you can find out?
