Which Photos Can I Send Over For My Wedding Album?

September 30, 2015
Blog - Wedding Photo

Choosing your wedding photos can be as difficult as selecting your wedding dress. But before we go into your album layout, here are some of the common questions with regards to sending us your photos. How to submit photos, what kind of files are required, and questions on photo quality are all answered here.

How do I submit my photos to Your Truly?
You must upload your high-res image files directly to your Yours Truly account when prompted once we have your order information. We cannot accept CD’s, DVD’s, negatives or physical photographs.

What type of image files are required?
We accept only JPEG files. JPEG files are smaller and allow for a faster upload time. Images with file extensions such TIF, PSD, DNG, CR2, NEF, ARW, etc. not acceptable. There is a file size limit of 25mb per photo.

Do my photos need to be in any kind of order?
If you’ve already selected just the photos you want in your album, we’ll ask if they are sequenced by file name prior to uploading. Sequencing your photos can help insure a better first draft of your layout, however it is not mandatory.

New Year’s Resolution 3rd Quarter Check

September 28, 2015
Blog- Cheers

Dear Yours Truly Readers,

Alright…it was that time again when Chad and I had our 3rd quarter check of our New Year’s Resolution.  It was fun, actually.  We had dinner at a neighborhood Italian restaurant and over glasses of champagne; we started our “3rd quarter” review. 🙂

First, he asked, “Are you prepared for the review?” And, I said, “I’m always prepared…you?” With a “not-so-sure” look on his face, he said, “I’m not.” (with a face looking for sympathy!).

Well…we had to do it anyway. So…we ordered our food then our review began. So here are the updates in bold (Please read my blog : Love, Life and Leisure: A New Year’s Resolution):

2015 Goals:

Chad and Zoe’s Relationship Development

  • Continue to build on our solid foundation and NEVER EVER take each other for granted! – Right on Target!
  • Continue our weekly “date nights” on either Thursdays or Fridays – Definitely on Target! We even committed to turn off our phones!!
  • Continue to celebrate our anniversary in Louisiana where we “officially” started dating  – YES WE DID…Yay! After I surprised him with the Venetian Boat Parade by the lake we decided to take a trip to Louisiana this pass week!
  • Spend more time with our friends Yup –hhhmmm… not as well as we did the first half of the year.  We need to be better at this!
  • Begin our plans to move into a new home to start a family – Yikes…no movement here! Still “on the fence” with the whole “baby thing” – we still need to get YoursTrulyWedding Albums really solid and off the ground.  Sorry…we have to wait a bit longer 🙂

Could there really be a Celestine Prophecy?

September 26, 2015
Celestine Prophecy

Awe… One of the best books ever written by!

So, do you remember my girlfriend Samantha (BLOG: Life Gives Love A Second Chance) who had her first date with Brandon after many months of distress from her divorce?

Their situation reminded me of this excerpt from the Celestine Prophecy book:

“It says that whenever people cross our paths, there is always a message for us. Chance encounters do not exist. But how we respond to these encounters determines whether we’re able to receive the message. If we have a conversation with someone who crosses our path and we do not see a message pertaining to our current questions, it does not mean there was no message. It only means we missed it for some reason.”

When my girlfriend told me how she bumped into Brandon and three weeks later they had their first date, the day after, I bought her the Celestine Prophecy book and highlighted this quote for her.

I had goose bumps when she told me how they met again. She’s so happy right now. I am happy for her too.

Bride’s Input and Other Questions About Album Design

September 23, 2015
YT- Layout

One of the brides reasons for getting a wedding album is that beautiful design which they could cherish for life. With Yours Truly Wedding Albums, the layout is being done by a talented pool of designers.

Here are some of the frequently asked questions about our album design service.

Do brides have any input on the layout?
Yes. We provide a comments section in the ordering system for you to communicate with our designers. You may want to make note of favorite photos you’d like us to feature, or use on your cover. We cannot accept any pre-designs, PDFs or other graphics in the comments section.

Do you color correct my photos or fix any that are too bright/dark or blurry?
A global density and sharpening will be applied to all photos (unless you instruct us not to). The designers will make only slight color adjustments as necessary to balance them to the prevailing color palate. These adjustment will be shown in the layout preview. Poor quality photo submissions will likely not be greatly improved upon.

Do you offer any additional services, such as retouching or custom work?
Retouching and other custom work is available for $48/hour. Please contact our Customer Service team for further information or to get a quote.

How long does it take for Yours Truly to lay out my album?
Your layout will be available for viewing online generally within 7 business days of your submission.

Life Gives Love a Second Chance

September 21, 2015
Blog- Second Chance

Dear Yours Truly Readers,

Do you remember my girlfriend, who after 15 years, was divorced by her husband? Well…after many months of heartache from the separation, she finally went on her first date!

OMG! I couldn’t be so thrilled for her. Others may think it’s too soon. But, I never thought that for a moment! I believe that there’s no place for people to judge when is the right time for someone to move on with their lives after divorce.

How Deep is Your Love

September 19, 2015
Blog - How Deep Is Your Love

The 70’s group, The Bee Gees, sang the song “How Deep Is Your Love”. It was a number three hit in the United Kingdom and Australia. In the United States, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977 (becoming the first of six consecutive US number-one hits) and stayed in the Top 10 for a then-record 17 weeks!

If you listen to the lyrics which go:

I know your eyes in the morning sun
I feel you touch me in the pouring rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I want to feel you in my arms again
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave
And it’s me you need to show

How deep is your love, how deep is your love
How deep is your love?
I really mean to learn
‘Cause we’re living in a world of fools
Breaking us down when they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

Weekend Thoughts: Nostalgic Drive-In Movie Theaters

September 15, 2015
Kimberly & Stephen Fisher Vintage Drive-In Movie Engagement Session by Garrett Price of Carolina Portrait Designs at Sunset Drive-In Movie Theater on May 6, 2013 in Shelby, North Carolina.

Remember the good o’le Drive-in movie theaters? Its peak or popularity came in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Unfortunately, its nostalgia has declined because of people’s shift of interest to indoor movie theaters, or home theaters or the convenience of downloadable movies on mobile.

But, we can’t overlook the romantic feeling that drive-in theaters bring to couples in love. I’m sure our parents or grandparents enjoyed sitting in the car while enjoying a bucket of popcorn with their Yours Truly.

Blog- DriveIn Theaters 2

Chad and I are lucky that we have a few drive-in theaters about 20-25 miles away from our home. It has always been something I’d like to try. Maybe a good time is during the fall season when the weather is a bit chilly, enjoying a movie and a bucket of popcorn under a warm fuzzy blanket with my yours truly… I can’t wait. Continue Reading…

An Anniversary Evening to Remember… Venetian Night

September 12, 2015
Blog- Venetian Night

Dear Yours Truly Readers,

So…from my blog post, “Wedding Anniversary Ideas” I was freaking out on what anniversary present to give or ideas I can come up with for our 7th Wedding Anniversary.  But, to top it all…after 7 years, we’re getting more and more questions from family and friends…” So, when will little Chad or little Zoe be running around?”

For those of you who have read my blogs – you must’ve gathered by now that I march to the beat of my own drums. Although the 7th anniversary is not considered one of the special ones, every anniversary with Chad is special to me.

But, really… copper or wool as traditional presents? Well, I came up with an idea to make these traditional anniversary symbols a bit more romantic!

I created an invitation on a copper colored stock card and envelope with my note that says:

“After seven years, our love has become much stronger than it ever was. I didn’t believe it is possible to fall in love with you over and over again.  But, the reality is, I fall in love with you even more each day. Seven years of marriage symbolizes “copper” and “wool”.  So, here’s my note written on a copper colored card and when you open your present, I’d like you to wear it at this place where you and I will spend an evening you’ll remember.”

How much do I need to start a wedding album order?

September 10, 2015
Blog- Wedding Album

We are back with another Q&A segment here on the blog!

One of the most common questions every time someone is interested in getting a wedding album is the cost. Basic inquiry is how much money do you really need to start the process of making an album with Yours Truly.

The answer is $50.

All we ask is a deposit of $50 before we can proceed with the first phase of uploading the photos and the initial layout.

The truth, however, is that we don’t charge anything for initial consultations. If you give us a call at 888-727-2122 (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM EST), email us at or live chat us on (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM EST), we would be more than happy to answer basic questions for FREE.

Ask our customer service reps about album types, how the process goes, timelines, which album is perfect for your kind of wedding, or which one is the most popular in the market today, we are ready to answer without charging you a single penny.

“When you are ready to upload your images to our designers, that’s where we require a $50 deposit”
