Tony Bennett’s “The Way You Look Tonight”, Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful” and Shania Twain’s “From This Moment” are among our all-time favorite wedding songs. For the bride and the groom, it is always about the lyrics and that melody which shall set the event’s romantic mood.

With a thousand love songs to choose from, we saw great additions to our wedding playlist last year. Here are ten of the biggest songs of 2014 (arranged in alphabetical order) which should still be perfect love themes in 2015 and beyond.

1. “All of Me” by John Legend

Last year’s number 3 biggest song according to Billboard also had the year’s best chorus: “‘Cause all of me, loves all of you. Love your curves and all your edges, all your perfect imperfections.” That could already be a wedding vow.

2. “Boom Clap” by Charlie XCX

One of the original theme songs of the blockbuster romantic film “The Fault In Our Stars”, this song wants you to run to the beach with your groom and dance! The song maybe upbeat but the words will make your hearts swoon: “No silver or no gold could dress me up so good. You’re the glitter in the darkness of my world.”

3. “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice

For exchanging vows by the sunset in a country wedding, nothing is more perfect than this song. Your groom says: “I don’t dance. But here I am spinning you around and around in circles. It ain’t my style, but I don’t care. I’d do anything with you anywhere. Yes, you got me in the palm of your hand girl. Cause, I don’t dance.”

4. “New Flame” by Chris Brown featuring Usher and Rick Ross

For that unexpected love story of two people who don’t believe in love, we give you something from Chris Brown: “Who said you can’t find love in the club? ‘Cause I wanna tell them they’re wrong. Come on. Baby try a new thing and let’s spark a new flame.”

5. “Rude” by Magic!

A man is someone who can fight for the love of his life, even to her tough parents. “Marry that girl. Marry her anyway. Marry that girl. Yeah, no matter what you say. Marry that girl and we’ll be a family.” This song is considered the love song of the year which should get your in-laws’ approval for that cute moment at the reception.

6. “She Looks So Perfect” by 5 Seconds of Summer

Who can’t fall for a guy who constantly tells his bride that she’s beautiful? “Your lipstick stain is a work of art. I got your name tattooed in an arrow heart. And I know now that I am so down.”

7. “A Sky Full Of Stars” by Coldplay

The scene: This song on the background and then some fireworks. Perfect! “‘Cause you’re a sky, cause you’re a sky full of stars. I’m gonna give you my heart. ‘Cause you’re a sky, cause you’re a sky full of stars. ‘Cause you light up the path.”

8. “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith

Sam Smith burst into the music scene that the same time when we all believed in fairy tale again. This song could be used any time in your love story: from the proposal, walking down the aisle to the romantic first dance.

9. “Steal My Girl” by One Direction

For that high school romance and a love story that blossomed throughout the years, here’s a perfect song. “She been my queen since we were sixteen. We want the same things. We dream the same dreams.”

10. “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran

Are you celebrating your 25th, 30th or 50th wedding anniversary? We have a great song suggestion. It goes… “And darling I will be loving you ’til we’re 70. And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23. I’m thinking ’bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways. Maybe just the touch of a hand. Well, me—I fall in love with you every single day. And I just wanna tell you I am.”
